On December 25th, the award ceremony for the 2nd Chinese Calligraphy Contest for Eurasian Countries hosted by China Pictorial Publications and China.com.cn took place in Beijing. More than 60 exchange students from CCNU took part in the competition and 6 of them won the third award for the hard-tipped calligraphy and soft brush calligraphy.
The competition has attracted enthusiastic participants from more than ten European and Asian countries, such as Russia and Ukraine, and received over 6000 pieces of work, which were collected online and reviewed offline. A total of 38 winners were selected, among whom 3 won the first place, 5 won the second place, 8 won the third place and 20 won the Memorial Awards. It also presented the Best Popularity Award and Most Potentiality Award.
At the awards ceremony, Aziz Nosirov, Deputy SCO Secretary-General, Wang Gangyi, Deputy Director of China International Publishing Group and Su Shishu, President of China Calligraphers Association awarded the prizes to CCNU and representatives of the winners.
